Joe
Vicar

Packers

These llamas are all trail tested.  They all enjoy getting out in the public or going out on the lonely trail.  They are very easy to load into a trailer and are easy to handle.  All have been trained to tether to a stake-out line.

Good packers usually have short to medium wool length which keeps body heat down compared to a heavy wooled animal.  But, heavy wooled llamas can be shorn.  They have great dispositions and they are not spooked by cars, motorcycles, horses, bikes or people out in public.

They are easy to take.  Joe and Vicar have been trained to load into the back of a Suburban, making trips to the trailhead easy.

Sizzlin' Joe

Sizzlin' Joe joined us from the Lora Llama Ranch in Turlock.  Joe is Barney's primary packer.  They both have similar temperaments (watch those sparks fly!) and together they have won quite a few ribbons.

Lord Vicar of Edenbourgh

Vicar really likes to go packing.  He has great confirmation and a wonderful willingness to really get out there on the trail.  He usually hikes in a string behind Joe, but is just as comfortable leading a string as well.  Vicar was born here on the farm and is out of Wind-E-O and Gypsy King.
